Carpet Base Swivel Glide Pack

This four-pack supplies 1-inch nail-on glides with a brown plastic base that swivels to let office and household furniture move smoothly over carpet. The glides are designed for general furniture legs and are not intended for chair legs.

Replaces Worn Fixed Glides

Swapping out fixed or damaged glides with these swivel bases reduces friction on carpet and eases repositioning of heavier pieces. The upgrade is worthwhile when existing glides no longer rotate freely or have cracked, but the pack does not suit chair legs or hard-floor applications.

Questions about this item

What size nail-on glide fits a 1-inch furniture leg?

The 1-inch diameter base is designed to match legs of that size; the nail-on stem drives directly into the wood without additional brackets.

How do I install these nail-on glides without splitting the leg?

Drill a small pilot hole slightly narrower than the nail shank, then tap the glide in straight so the plastic base seats flush and swivels freely.
