Shield iShell Classic S3 for iPhone 5

The Shield iShell Classic S3 is a snap-on case designed specifically for the iPhone 5. It uses impact-resistant polycarbonate to protect the back and sides from scratches, dust and accidental damage. A high-quality screen protector and cleaning cloth are included in the package for full coverage.

Ideal for owners wanting slim protection

This case suits iPhone 5 owners who want a barely-there shield that preserves the phone's original lines. The steel blue finish adds a distinct colour without adding bulk. Buyers who need rugged drop protection, a wallet folio, a kickstand or water resistance should look at a different style of case.

Thickness of 0.8mm

The case measures just 0.8mm thick, making it an extremely slim addition to the device. This dimension ensures the iPhone 5 slides easily into pockets and feels nearly unchanged in hand. Precise cut-outs maintain full access to every port and button without removing the cover.

Questions about this item

Will the 0.8 mm snap-on shell need replacing if the polycarbonate cracks from repeated drops?

The case is made from impact-resistant polycarbonate designed to absorb shocks; if the shell cracks it can be removed and a new one snapped on in seconds.

What is the first limit reached when the phone is used continuously inside the case?

The slim 0.8 mm profile adds virtually no insulation, so the iPhone 5 reaches its own thermal throttle point before the case becomes a limiting factor.

Does the steel-blue polycarbonate trap heat or make the phone louder during all-day use?

The open cut-outs leave speakers, microphones and ports fully exposed, so sound and heat escape exactly as they would without a case.
