Shout Factory Labyrinth Deluxe Edition 4K UHD Blu-ray

Deluxe Edition Contents

This Shout Factory release presents Jim Henson's Labyrinth as a deluxe edition aimed at collectors and fantasy film enthusiasts. The package centers on a 16-year-old girl who must traverse a dangerous labyrinth within 13 hours to rescue her baby brother from the Goblin King, played by David Bowie. Jennifer Connelly stars in this visionary fantasy that blends practical effects with imaginative storytelling. The set includes exclusive physical collectibles that distinguish it from standard releases.

Physical Collectibles

A collectible crystal ball with a wooden display base serves as the centerpiece of this edition's physical presentation. The 28-page book provides supplementary material that complements the film's visual design and production history. These tangible items transform the release into a display-worthy piece for shelves or cabinets rather than a purely functional media package. The wooden base adds stability and aesthetic weight to the crystal ball display.

Disc Configuration

Two discs deliver the feature across 4K UHD and Blu-ray formats, each carrying English Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Stereo tracks alongside French and Spanish Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround options. The 4K disc hosts new Q&As with Brian Henson and Toby Froud, a contact juggling tutorial, and an audio commentary with conceptual designer Brian Froud. This upgrade path suits viewers replacing older DVD or Blu-ray copies who want the highest available presentation with fresh supplemental content.
