Ultra-telephoto zoom for full-frame mirrorless with 100-400mm range, f/5-6.3 aperture, 22 elements in 16 groups including one FLD and four SLD, optical stabilisation, dust- and splash-proof mount.
The Sigma 100-400mm F5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary lens is built exclusively for full-frame mirrorless cameras with a Sony E mount. Its 16-group, 22-element optical design uses one FLD and four SLD elements to control aberrations across the entire zoom range. A dust- and splash-proof mount structure plus a rugged brass bayonet add durability for field work.
Photographers moving up from a standard zoom such as a 24-70mm F2.8 gain the compression and bokeh unique to the 100-400mm focal range. The jump is worth it when you need reach for wildlife, sports or distant details without carrying a larger, heavier prime or f/2.8 telephoto zoom.
The maximum aperture shifts from f/5 at 100mm to f/6.3 at 400mm, so shutter speeds drop as you zoom in. Front threads measure 67mm, matching the included filter kit. The lens pouch and cleaning accessories complete the bundle for everyday transport and maintenance.

The lens uses a 67mm filter thread, so any 67mm circular filter or the included filter kit will attach directly to the front element.
Align the white mount index on the lens barrel with the matching dot on the camera, then twist clockwise until the brass bayonet locks with a click; the step many forget is removing the rear dust cap before mounting.
Replace the flexible lens shade or tethered cap if the hood no longer locks securely, the cap tether frays, or either piece shows cracks that could let dust reach the front glass.
