Ultra-wide 12mm F1.4 prime for Fuji X

This Sigma Contemporary lens is an ultra-wide-angle prime built for APS-C mirrorless cameras with the Fuji X mount. It delivers a 12mm focal length and a bright F1.4 aperture for expansive low-light capture. Photographers and videographers gain a wide field of view with shallow depth-of-field control.

Bright aperture changes low-light

The F1.4 maximum aperture gathers significantly more light than slower ultra-wide lenses, allowing cleaner images at dusk or indoors without a tripod. It also enables subject separation across a broad scene, useful for environmental portraits and astrophotography where foreground detail matters.

Verify APS-C sensor and Fuji X mount before ordering

This lens covers an APS-C image circle and uses the Fuji X mount, so it is not compatible with full-frame sensors or other mirrorless systems. Confirm your camera body matches both the mount and the sensor format to avoid vignetting or physical fit issues.

Questions about this item

Does the 12mm F1.4 DC Contemporary need any routine maintenance or part replacement?

The lens has no user-serviceable parts; keep the front and rear elements clean and protect the mount contacts from dust.

What is the first limit you hit when shooting continuously with the 12mm F1.4 DC Contemporary?

The widest aperture is F1.4, so depth of field becomes extremely shallow and precise focus is the practical limit.

How much heat or noise does the 12mm F1.4 DC Contemporary produce during all-day use?

It is a passive optical lens with no motor or electronics that generate heat or audible noise in normal operation.
