Ultra-wide 14mm f/1.4 lens with 19 elements in 15 groups, bundled with a 66" tripod and cleaning kit for starscapes and low-light scenes
The Sigma 14mm f/1.4 DG Art lens for Sony E delivers ultra-wide perspectives with a bright f/1.4 maximum aperture. Its optical formula uses 19 elements in 15 groups, including FLD, SLD and aspherical elements, to control distortion and aberration. The bundle adds a 66-inch aluminum tripod with a three-way head and a cleaning kit for a complete field setup.
Photographers moving up from variable-aperture zooms or slower f/2.8 primes gain two full stops of light at 14mm, making handheld nightscape work practical without pushing ISO. The jump is worth it when corner-to-corner sharpness at f/1.4 matters for astrophotography or low-light architecture, and when a sturdy 66-inch tripod replaces a lighter travel model for long exposures.
The f/1.4 aperture comfortably handles Milky Way scenes, illuminated interiors and environmental portraits with shallow depth of field. Sagittal coma flare is corrected so stars remain pinpoint to the frame edges at maximum aperture. The lens runs out of reach for subjects needing longer focal lengths, and the fixed 14mm perspective cannot be zoomed for tighter compositions.

The lens does not accept screw-on filters due to its built-in petal hood and bulbous front element; filter holders are not supported.
Extend the three leg sections fully, lock each flip lever, then tighten the centre-column collar before mounting the head; skipping the collar lets the column slip under load.
Clean the lens glass with the supplied ProOptic kit when dust appears; check the tripod leg locks and head bolts periodically and tighten if they loosen.
