Wide-Angle Prime for Micro Four Thirds

This 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary lens provides a 32mm equivalent field of view on Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras. Its bright maximum aperture suits low-light shooting and shallow depth of field. The optical design uses three FLD, two SLD, and two aspherical elements to control aberrations. A Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting for better contrast. The bundle includes a 67mm UV filter, tulip hood, and cleaning accessories.

Sustained Optical Performance

The stepping AF motor delivers quick, quiet, and smooth focusing suitable for both stills and video recording. Internal focusing mechanics maintain lens length during operation, supporting consistent handling during extended sessions. Weather-sealed TSC construction protects the barrel against dust and moisture when working outdoors. The nine-blade rounded diaphragm produces circular bokeh highlights across the aperture range. Optical corrections remain stable from f/1.4 through f/16.

Micro Four Thirds System Limits

This lens is designed exclusively for the Micro Four Thirds mount and covers the corresponding sensor format only. The 67mm filter thread accepts standard accessories included in the kit such as the UV filter and tulip hood. Autofocus function depends on camera bodies that support stepping motor drive protocols. The fixed 16mm focal length does not zoom, requiring physical repositioning for framing changes. Aperture control is performed electronically via the camera body.
