Flagship 24-70mm F2.8 Art Lens

The SIGMA 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN II Art Lens for Sony E is built for photographers and filmmakers who demand high resolving power across the zoom range. It uses 19 elements in 15 groups with 6 FLD, 2 SLD and 5 aspherical elements. The HLA motor drives fast, quiet autofocus. An aperture ring adds direct control.

Versatile zoom with constant aperture

The 24-70mm focal range covers wide-angle to short telephoto at a constant F2.8 brightness. Inner focusing keeps the lens length stable during operation. High sharpness is maintained from centre to edge even at maximum aperture on high-resolution sensors. The design is approximately 7 percent smaller and 10 percent lighter than the previous model.

Bundle adds lighting and protection

The included Zoom Mini R2 Speedlight provides portable flash support for fill or creative lighting. An 82mm filter kit threads directly to the front element for protection or effects. A lens case, cleaner, cap keeper and cleaning kit complete the package for daily care and transport.

Questions about this item

Will the 24-70mm f/2.8 Art lens balance well on an older Sony E-mount body without in-body stabilisation?

The lens is approximately 7% smaller and 10% lighter than the previous Art model, reducing front-heavy feel on lighter bodies.

How can I verify the HLA autofocus motor is operating correctly after mounting the lens?

Engage AF-C on a moving subject; the High-response Linear Actuator should drive focus silently with no hunting across the 24-70mm range.

Does the bundle include an 82mm circular polariser or only protective filters?

The 82mm Filter Kit supplied in the bundle contains a UV protector, a circular polariser and a neutral-density filter.
