SIGMA 28-105mm f/2.8 DG DN Art L-mount lens

This constant-aperture zoom covers wide-angle to short telephoto on L-mount cameras. It suits photographers who need one lens for landscapes, events and portraits without swapping glass. The bundle adds an 82mm filter kit, cleaning accessories and a soft case for immediate use. It is not for shooters who require wider than 28mm or longer reach than 105mm.

Metal barrel with 82mm filter thread and bundled

The lens barrel accepts 82mm filters directly, matching the included filter kit for protection or creative effects. A petal hood, front and rear caps, and a cap tether stay attached during fast-paced shooting. The soft case and cleaning kit keep optics clean on location. Buyers who prefer smaller filter diameters or weather-sealed construction should note the 82mm thread size.

Constant f/2.8 aperture through 28-105mm zoom range

The aperture stays at f/2.8 from 28mm to 105mm, delivering consistent exposure and depth of field across the zoom. This enables faster shutter speeds at 85mm and 105mm for portraits and low-light work compared to variable-aperture zooms. Close-focusing at the long end allows macro-style detail. Photographers needing apertures wider than f/2.8 must choose a prime lens.

Questions about this item

Does the L-mount interface on this 28-105mm f/2.8 lens support full-frame coverage?

Yes, the DG DN designation confirms full-frame coverage on L-mount bodies, and the constant f/2.8 aperture is maintained from 28mm through 105mm.

What filter thread size does the 28-105mm f/2.8 Art lens use, and is a filter included?

The lens has an 82mm filter thread, and the bundle includes an 82mm filter kit along with a soft case, lens pen, optics care kit and lens cap tether.

How do you attach the supplied hood on this 28-105mm f/2.8 lens, and what is the common mistake?

Align the hood’s index mark with the lens barrel’s dot, then rotate until it clicks; the frequent error is stopping before the click, leaving the hood loose and prone to vignetting.
