Lens and bundle purpose

The Sigma 300-600mm f/4 DG OS Sports Lens for L Mount combines a 300-600mm zoom range with a constant f/4 aperture, built for sports, wildlife and action photographers who need reach without swapping glass. The bundle adds a filter kit, pen lens cleaner, software kit and cleaning kit so the lens is protected and maintained from day one. It is not suited to buyers who need a wider angle of view or a lighter kit for travel.

Accessory and software impact

The included filter kit shields the front element from dust, moisture and impact while preserving the optical quality delivered by 28 elements in 21 groups with 6 FLD and 1 SLD glass. The pen lens cleaner and cleaning kit let you remove fingerprints and debris in the field, keeping contrast high across the entire zoom range. The software kit provides firmware updates and lens customisation tools that keep autofocus and stabilisation tuned to the latest camera bodies.

Installation and common issues

Mount the lens on any L Mount camera body, attach the supplied filters if desired, and enable optical stabilisation for up to 5.5 stops of shake correction at 600mm. The High-response Linear Actuator drives fast, precise autofocus, though continuous tracking of erratic subjects can challenge any long telephoto system. Balance the setup on a monopod or tripod collar to reduce fatigue during extended sessions, and calibrate focus micro-adjustment if your camera supports it.
