Prime lens for Fujifilm X mirrorless

The SIGMA 30mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary lens is built for Fujifilm X mirrorless cameras. Its 30mm focal length delivers a 50mm equivalent angle of view that matches human vision. The bright f/1.4 maximum aperture suits photographers who want shallow depth of field for portraits and tabletop still life. It is not for shooters who need zoom flexibility or telephoto reach.

ProOptic 52mm filter kit expands protection

The bundled ProOptic 52mm filter kit adds a protective filter, lens cleaner, cleaning cloth, lens pouch, cap keeper and Mac software kit. The filter shields the front element from dust and scratches during daily use. Cleaning supplies keep optics clear without extra purchases. The pouch offers soft storage when the lens is off the camera. Photographers who already own 52mm filters gain no new filter function.

Extra-long hood and TSC design aid handling

An extra-long hood ships with the lens to reduce flare and protect the front glass. Thermally Stable Composite construction contributes to a compact structure while maintaining optical performance. The 52mm filter thread accepts standard screw-on accessories. The Fujifilm X mount ensures native electronic communication. Users of other mirrorless mounts cannot attach this lens without an adapter.

Questions about this item

Will the 52 mm filter threads need any special cleaning or replacement over time?

The 52 mm filter threads accept standard screw-in filters; routine cleaning with a lens cloth keeps them working, and no scheduled replacement is required.

What optical limit appears first when shooting continuously at f/1.4?

At f/1.4 the shallow depth of field becomes the practical limit, so precise focus on the intended subject is critical during extended sessions.

How much heat or noise does the lens produce during all-day use?

The lens has no moving electronic parts, so it generates no audible noise and negligible heat even after hours of continuous shooting.
