35mm f/1.2 DG II Art Lens for Sony E

This bundle pairs the Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG II Art lens with a 72mm filter kit, soft case, pen cleaner and cleaning kit. It is built for photographers who need exceptional resolution and shallow depth of field in a compact prime. The optical design uses 17 elements in 13 groups including one SLD and four aspherical elements.

Professionals wanting fast aperture

The lens suits portrait, low-light and video creators who value corner-to-corner sharpness at F1.2 and a 30 per cent size reduction over the previous design. Buyers who need zoom versatility, longer focal lengths or a slower, lighter optic should look elsewhere.

Bright F1.2 aperture with 72mm filter thread

The wide aperture comfortably handles dim interiors, night scenes and subject separation with large bokeh. The 72mm thread accepts the included filter kit for protection or creative effects. Extreme wide-open corners and specialised macro magnification are where this design reaches its limits.

Questions about this item

Does this lens need a Sony E-mount camera body to operate?

Yes, the Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG II Art is built for Sony E-mount and will only function on cameras with that mount.

Will the 72mm filter kit screw directly onto the front of this lens?

The front cap is marked LCF-72 I, confirming a 72mm thread, so the included filter kit fits without an adapter.

How can I check that the autofocus is performing as intended after mounting the lens?

Half-press the shutter to engage focus; the lens should lock quickly and silently, and the viewfinder or screen will show a sharp subject at the chosen focus point.
