Ideal Everyday Prime for Sony E-Mount

The Sigma 45mm f/2.8 DG DN Contemporary is a compact prime lens built for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras. It delivers a natural 45mm field of view suited to daily photography. On APS-C bodies the lens provides a 68mm equivalent focal length for tighter framing. Its constant f/2.8 maximum aperture supports low-light shooting and shallow depth of field.

Build Around a Lightweight Optical Core

The lens measures 45mm in focal length and maintains a small form factor that balances well on compact mirrorless bodies. A stepping autofocus motor drives fast, quiet focus acquisition for both stills and video work. Full-time manual focus override is available without switching modes. The optical design corrects spherical aberration to produce smooth, rounded bokeh and a three-dimensional subject rendition.

Contemporary Line Handling and I-Series Identity

As part of the Contemporary line the lens prioritises a balance of performance and portability for everyday carry. It belongs to the I-series family of premium compact primes designed specifically for mirrorless systems. The 360965 model number identifies this specific variant. No additional accessories or software bundles are mentioned in the supplied data.
