SIGMA 56mm F1.4 DC DN | C Micro Four Thirds camera lens

Portrait prime for Micro Four Thirds

The Sigma 56mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary lens delivers a 112mm equivalent focal length on Micro Four Thirds bodies. Its bright F1.4 aperture suits low-light portraits and shallow depth of field. The compact, lightweight design targets photographers who want a fast short telephoto without bulk. It is not for shooters needing zoom versatility or wider angles of view.

Weather-sealed barrel with nine rounded blades

A weather-sealed construction protects the lens mount and internal elements from dust and moisture during outdoor sessions. The rounded nine-blade diaphragm produces smooth circular bokeh highlights when stopped down. Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting in backlit conditions. Buyers requiring a tripod collar or built-in image stabilisation will not find those features here.

Fast quiet AF for stills and video

The stepping motor drives fast, near-silent autofocus compatible with camera face and eye detection modes. Continuous AF tracking keeps moving subjects sharp during video recording. No external focus limiter or aperture ring is provided, so control remains camera-dependent. Users who prefer manual focus clutches or physical aperture control should consider other options.
