SIGMA 58mm WR Circular Polarizer camera filter

58mm WR Circular Polarizer

This Sigma filter threads onto 58mm lens barrels and uses a circular polarising layer to cut glare from non-metallic surfaces. It deepens blue skies, removes reflections from water or glass and increases colour saturation in outdoor scenes. The Water Repellent coating helps water and oil bead off the glass for easier cleaning in damp conditions. It suits landscape, travel and architectural photographers who need controllable polarisation without vignetting on wide-angle lenses.

Sustained outdoor use

The WR coating maintains its hydrophobic performance during long shooting sessions in mist, light rain or sea spray without degrading optical clarity. The slim filter frame reduces the risk of corner darkening when the lens is stopped down for extended depth-of-field work. Rotating the front element remains smooth even after repeated adjustments throughout a full day in the field. Photographers who require UV protection only or who shoot with lenses lacking 58mm threads will need a different solution.
