SKU CH-38A4-31E2P

A 58 mm protector filter with water and oil repellent coating and antistatic properties

  • Water- and oil-repellent coating keeps the glass clean
  • Antistatic surface reduces dust attraction for clearer shots
  • 58 mm thread fits compatible lenses directly
  • Protective filter shields front element from scratches and impacts

58mm WR Protector Filter

The Sigma 58mm WR Protector Filter shields the front element of compatible lenses from dust, moisture and scratches. Its water and oil repellent coating resists fingerprints and simplifies cleaning. An antistatic layer further reduces dust attraction on the glass surface.

Suits photographers wanting daily front-element

Photographers who require creative effects such as polarisation, neutral density or colour correction should look at dedicated filter types instead. Buyers using lenses with a different thread diameter cannot mount this filter without a separate adapter ring.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the water and oil repellent coating is performing correctly after fitting the 58mm filter?

Mount the filter, then place a small drop of water on the glass; it should bead and roll off without smearing. Oil from a fingertip should wipe away cleanly with a microfibre cloth, leaving no residue.

What comes in the box with the 58mm WR Protector Filter and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the 58mm WR Protector Filter and a protective case. No additional accessories are included, so a compatible 58mm lens cap or cleaning kit would need to be bought separately if required.
