Dedicated Hood for 24-105mm F4 Art

This lens hood is engineered exclusively for the Sigma 24-105mm F4 DG OS HSM Art lens. It serves photographers who need reliable front-element protection during daily shooting. The accessory attaches directly to the lens barrel using the native mounting bayonet. It is not a generic replacement and will not fit other focal lengths or brands.

Blocks stray light and physical hazards

The hood extends past the front glass to intercept off-axis rays that cause flare and reduce contrast. Its rigid construction absorbs light impacts that would otherwise damage the filter threads or coating. It does not seal the lens against water ingress or provide weather resistance beyond deflecting droplets. Users must still employ a front filter for complete environmental sealing.

Bayonet mount clicks into place

Installation requires aligning the hood index marks with the lens hood mount and rotating until a positive click confirms lock. The petal shape demands correct rotational orientation; mounting it backwards vignettes the image corners. A loose fit usually indicates debris in the bayonet channels or a reversed attachment. No tools are required for removal or reversal.
