For Owners of This Specific Lens

Photographers using the Sigma 14-24mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art lens gain a replacement or spare cap that restores factory protection. The cap addresses the need to guard the wide front glass when the lens is idle. Buyers who need a cap for any other lens diameter or mounting style should look at something else. This part does not fit other models.

Questions about this item

How does the LC964-01 cap fit the 14-24mm f/2.8 DG HSM Art lens?

It snaps over the lens's built-in petal hood, covering the front element completely.

What step do people miss when installing the LC964-01 on the 14-24mm f/2.8 Art?

They forget to attach the supplied petal hood first; the cap will not seat on the bare barrel.

What part of the LC964-01 will need replacement first on the 14-24mm f/2.8 Art?

The centre-pinch spring tabs lose tension over time, so the cap itself is the wear item.
