SIGNAMAX 065-1100 Media Converter

The SIGNAMAX 065-1100 converts 10/100BaseT/TX copper signals to 100BaseFX multimode fibre with ST connectors. It extends network links up to 2km for industrial or campus deployments. The unit suits installers who need a simple copper-to-fibre bridge without managed features. Buyers requiring single-mode reach or SFP flexibility should choose a different model.

Thermals noise and power

The converter operates silently with no moving parts in typical indoor environments. Power consumption stays low for continuous 100 Mbps throughput. Heat output is minimal so no active cooling is required. The metal enclosure passively dissipates warmth during normal use.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Signamax 065-1100 and what step is often missed?

Connect the 10/100BaseT/TX port to the copper network and the 100BaseFX ST port to multimode fibre; the step often missed is confirming the link LEDs show a valid connection on both sides before assuming the link is live.

What maintenance or replacement will the Signamax 065-1100 need later?

The unit has no moving parts; maintenance is limited to keeping the ST connectors clean and verifying the power supply remains stable, while replacement is only required if the converter itself fails.
