Thunderbolt 3 dual DisplayPort docking station
This Thunderbolt 3 docking station expands a compatible Mac or Windows laptop with two DisplayPort outputs, multiple USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet and audio. It uses an Intel Titan Ridge controller to work with both Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C DP Alt Mode hosts. The unit includes a 135W power adapter and weighs 0.71 kg.
Two 4K or single 5K display limit over DisplayPort
Video output is restricted to two 4K Ultra HD screens at 60 Hz or one 5K display at 60 Hz when the dock is driven by a Thunderbolt 3 connection. USB-C DP Alt Mode hosts may not support the same multi-display configurations. The Gigabit Ethernet port provides wired networking at standard speeds.
Desktop installation with 60 W host charging
Place the dock on a desk, connect the supplied 135W adapter, then link the Thunderbolt 3 cable to the host. The dock delivers up to 60 W of Power Delivery 3.0 charging to the laptop. Common issues include insufficient host power negotiation or display detection failures when the host USB-C port lacks DP Alt Mode support.

Questions about this item
Should I pick the Thunderbolt 3 model or a USB-C DP Alt Mode version?
This single unit works with both Thunderbolt 3 and USB-C DP Alt Mode hosts, so there is no separate version to choose.
What does the 5K@60Hz claim mean when I plug in my monitors?
Over a Thunderbolt 3 link you can drive one 5K display at 60 Hz using both DisplayPort ports together, or two 4K displays independently.
How fast is the 10 Gbps USB Type-C port in real use?
The port runs at USB 3.1 Gen 2 10 Gbps; actual throughput depends on the drive and cable but will not exceed that ceiling.
