Adds two SATA 300 ports via PCIe x1 with 3.0 Gbit/s transfer and NCQ support
This SIIG host controller adds two 7-pin Serial ATA connections to a desktop computer through a single PCI Express x1 slot. It supports up to two SATA hard drives and is compliant with RoHS environmental standards. The card uses a plug-in form factor and ships as a single retail unit.
The controller delivers data transfer rates up to 2.34 Gbit/s under continuous load. Features such as Native Command Queuing, non-zero offsets NCQ and out-of-order data delivery NCQ maintain consistent throughput during extended operations. Independent command fetch and scatter/gather execution further stabilise performance over long periods.
The single specification that determines compatibility is 48-bit LBA support, which enables the card to address drives up to 4 TB in capacity. Without this addressing capability, larger SATA drives would not be fully recognised by the system.

The card uses a single PCIe x1 lane and supports two Serial ATA ports at up to 2.34 Gbit/s, with no active cooling required.
You need up to two Serial ATA drives and standard 7-pin SATA data cables; the card provides the host interface only.
The host controller delivers up to 3.0 Gb/s and supports 48-bit LBA for drives up to 4 TB, so existing Serial ATA drives will operate at their rated speed.
