Quad-port 10 Gbps SFP+ network adapter using a PCIe 3.0 x8 slot for server integration
This Silicom network card adds four 10Gbps SFP+ ports through a single PCI Express 3.0 x8 slot. It targets servers and high-end appliances that need multiple high-speed Ethernet links without using extra expansion slots.
The card needs a physical and electrical PCI Express 3.0 x8 connection to deliver full 10Gbps throughput on all four ports simultaneously. A slot wired for fewer lanes will limit aggregate bandwidth and may prevent the adapter from initialising correctly.
Installation follows normal server-adapter procedure: power down, insert into a compatible x8 slot, secure the bracket, then attach SFP+ transceivers and cables. The most common issue is inserting the card into an x4 or x1 slot, which reduces available bandwidth and can cause link negotiation failures.

Each SFP+ port delivers up to 10 Gbps of Ethernet bandwidth, so the adapter provides four independent 10 Gbps connections for high-throughput networking.
The PCIe 3.0 x8 slot supplies enough lane bandwidth to run all four 10 Gbps ports at line rate without host-bus saturation.
It requires a PCIe x8 or wider slot and a standard full-height bracket opening for the four SFP+ cages.
