Kitchen accessory for everyday frying

This red silicone splatter screen fits 11, 12 and 13 inch frying pans and is made from food-grade, BPA-free material. It keeps oil splatter off the hob and surrounding surfaces while you cook. The non-stick surface lets you add ingredients through the centre without lifting the guard completely.

Behaviour during extended cooking

The heat-resistant silicone doubles as a trivet mat to protect worktops when pans are moved off the heat. Folding the guard flat makes it easy to stir and monitor food so nothing burns during long simmering sessions. Clean-up is simple with soapy water or a dishwasher cycle after sustained use.

Deciding specification — 12 inch nominal fit

The guard is sized for 11, 12 and 13 inch pans, so it will not cover smaller or larger diameters effectively. Buyers needing a screen for mini pans or stockpots should look elsewhere. If your pans fall in this range the screen handles splatter, steam venting and trivet duties in one piece.
