Right-angle USB-C cable for monitors and charging

This 5 ft Silkland cable carries 20 Gbps data, 240 W power and video up to 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz from a USB-C laptop to a USB-C monitor. The 90-degree plug fits tight spaces behind screens or portable displays. It is new and male-to-male.

Easy plug-in but check case thickness and port depth

Insert the connector fully until it seats; a thick phone case can stop the plug from going home and cause poor contact. Keep the ports clean and avoid shaking the cable while it is connected. The right-angle elbow adds length, so verify the clearance behind your device before buying.

Suits users with DP Alt Mode laptops

Works for portable monitors, desktop USB-C displays and fast charging of phones, tablets and laptops. Not for buyers whose USB-C ports lack DisplayPort Alt Mode, because video will not function. Also not for setups that need a straight connector or a longer reach than 5 ft.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 20 Gbps link is active after plugging in the right-angle connector?

Open the OS USB controller view or run a disk-speed test with a compatible enclosure; the link should report 20 Gbps.

Does the 5 ft grey cable ship with any adapters or do I need to buy a separate power brick for 240 W charging?

The box contains only the USB-C to USB-C cable; a 240 W-capable charger and a DP Alt Mode host are required separately.

The listing shows several lengths — why choose the 5 ft version over the 3.3 ft or 6.6 ft options?

The 5 ft length reaches across a typical desk to a portable monitor without the slack of 6.6 ft or the tension of 3.3 ft.
