Compact ATX Server Chassis

The SilverStone FARA R1 is a white mid-tower server chassis built for ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards. Its 37-litre internal volume removes legacy drive bays to prioritise space for modern high-performance components. The tempered glass side panel shows the build while the shortened footprint fits tighter workspaces.

Mesh Front Airflow

A fully meshed front panel creates a large intake surface that feeds six fan mounts across a compact body. One 120 mm rear exhaust fan is included to establish immediate directional flow. Removable dust filters on the top and bottom panels simplify routine cleaning without tools.

Versatile Drive & I/O Layout

An internal 3.5-inch cage includes a 2.5-inch mount alongside three dedicated 2.5-inch trays for mixed storage configurations. A sleek PSU shroud conceals cables and drives for a tidy interior. The front I/O panel supplies two USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port and a combined audio jack for headset connectivity.

Questions about this item

How do I install the rear 120 mm exhaust fan and what step is often missed?

The 120 mm rear fan comes pre-installed; the step people miss is orienting the arrow on the fan frame so air blows out through the rear grille.

Which dust filters need regular cleaning and how are they accessed?

Removable magnetic filters on the top panel and bottom of the chassis slide out without tools for quick cleaning.

What thermal limit appears first when the system runs sustained loads with only the stock fan?

With a single 120 mm rear exhaust and no front intake fans fitted, GPU and CPU temperatures climb rapidly once the mesh front cannot feed enough cool air.
