Home Theater Server Chassis

The Silverstone Technology GD07B-C is a desktop server chassis built for home theater PC enthusiasts who need full-size component support in a living-room-friendly form factor. It accommodates extended ATX motherboards and expansion cards up to 345mm while maintaining a conventional AV-component appearance. The lockable front door and power button add physical security for shared or accessible environments.

Before Ordering Verify Fit

Confirm your motherboard matches the extended ATX, ATX, or micro-ATX form factors supported by this chassis. Measure your graphics card or add-in card length against the 345mm maximum clearance to avoid interference with drive cages. Ensure your power supply is a standard ATX unit, as the case does not support redundant or server-specific PSU form factors. Plan for front-panel USB access, which provides one Type-A and one Type-C port behind the lockable door.

Storage and Rack Options

The chassis supports up to eleven drive bays across 5.25in, 3.5in, and 2.5in formats, with a removable hard drive bracket that simplifies installation and maintenance. Quick-access dust filters on intake vents maintain positive air pressure for cooling efficiency and reduced dust buildup. Optional SilverStone RA02 rackmount ears allow conversion to a rackmount configuration for server-room deployment. An LED indicator with adjustable brightness provides status visibility without light pollution in darkened rooms.

Questions about this item

Does the case come with the front USB-C cable and motherboard header adapter, or do I need to buy them separately?

The chassis includes one USB Type-C and one USB Type-A port behind the front panel with internal cables for standard motherboard headers; no extra adapter is required.

Should I choose this GD07B-C model over the non-C version if I want front USB-C?

Yes, the GD07B-C is the only variant in the series that adds a front USB Type-C port alongside the Type-A port.

Will a graphics card measuring exactly 345 mm fit without removing drive cages?

The case supports expansion cards up to 345 mm (13.6 inches) with the removable hard-drive bracket installed, so a card of that length fits.
