Server Chassis for Home Theater Builds

The Silverstone GD07B is a desktop-style server chassis designed to house full-size components while matching home theater aesthetics. It supports Extended ATX, ATX and Micro-ATX motherboards alongside a standard ATX power supply. The lockable front door and power button secure the system and internal drives from unauthorised access.

Lockable Front Panel and Expansion Support

A lockable aluminium front panel restricts physical access to the power button and drive bays. The chassis accommodates expansion cards up to 13.6 inches (345mm) across seven slots plus an auxiliary slot. Removable dust filters on the intake vents and a removable hard-drive bracket simplify maintenance and airflow management.

Storage Limits and Rackmount Option

The case provides up to eleven drive bays for combinations of 5.25", 3.5" and 2.5" drives, defining the maximum internal storage capacity. Optional SilverStone RA02 rackmount ears allow installation in a standard rack, though the desktop form factor limits rack density compared with dedicated rackmount chassis.

Questions about this item

How often do the intake filters need cleaning to maintain positive air pressure?

The chassis uses quick-access filters on all intake vents; remove and clean them when dust buildup is visible to preserve the positive-pressure design.

What is the maximum graphics card length that fits without blocking drive bays?

Expansion cards up to 13.6 inches (345 mm) are supported, so full-length GPUs fit while the removable hard-drive bracket stays installed.

How loud is the system when the chassis fans run continuously in a living-room setup?

Positive air pressure and adjustable LED brightness keep noise low; actual sound level depends on the fans and components you install.
