Compact Server Chassis

The Silverstone Technology TJ08B-E is a desktop-format server chassis designed for Micro-ATX, Mini-DTX and Mini-ITX motherboards. It targets builders who need dense storage in a relatively small tower footprint. The aluminium front panel and steel body provide a clean, premium appearance. It is not suited for users requiring E-ATX board support or more than six internal drive bays.

Build Integration

A single 180mm air penetrator fan mounts behind the front panel to create a positive-pressure airflow tunnel. Removable dust filters cover all intake vents for easy maintenance. The chassis includes a removable motherboard tray and top panel, plus dedicated cable-routing pathways for long power-supply cables. An adjustable holder secures large CPU coolers, while a rear cut-out allows back-plate installation without removing the board. Five 3.5" and one 2.5" drive locations are provided.

Sustained Operation

Positive-pressure cooling from the 180mm fan helps maintain lower internal temperatures during extended workloads while reducing dust accumulation on components. The all-black painted interior minimises stray reflections and aids heat dissipation. Removable panels and filters allow quick cleaning without tools, preserving airflow efficiency over time. The design originated from the 2006 Temjin TJ08 lineage, updated with the larger fan for quieter, steady-state performance.
