Matched kit for Intel D845GVFN

This 2GB kit contains two 1GB DDR modules selected for the Intel D845GVFN desktop board. It adds memory capacity to older office or legacy systems that use this platform. The matched pair helps maintain dual-channel operation where the board supports it. Condition is new from Simmtec, Inc.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Upgraders restoring or maintaining an Intel D845GVFN system gain a simple capacity boost with this kit. Buyers who need more storage, higher density modules, or a different memory type for another platform cannot use this specific configuration. It addresses only the capacity and form factor described for this board.

Capacity and board match

The deciding specification is the 2GB total capacity arranged as 2 x 1GB for the Intel D845GVFN. Only systems that accept this exact density and layout will work correctly with the kit. Verify the board documentation before purchase to confirm compatibility.

Questions about this item

What DDR standard does this kit use and what practical speed limit does it impose?

The modules are standard DDR desktop memory, so the system bus and chipset set the effective speed ceiling.

What physical slot and form factor must the motherboard provide for these modules?

They require 184-pin DIMM slots, two of them, to install the matched pair.

How are the sticks installed and which step do builders often miss?

Align the notch, press firmly until both retention clips snap shut, then verify the pair is recognised in BIOS.
