MemoryMasters DDR2 8 GB Kit

This 8 GB kit contains four 2 GB DDR2 DIMMs rated at 800 MHz and specified as PC2 6400 or PC2 6300. The 240 pin modules are built for desktop systems and are supplied new in a matched set of four.

Targeted at EliteGroup A780VM-M2 motherboards

The kit is 100 percent compatible with the EliteGroup A780VM-M2 board, so owners of that platform can fill all four slots without mixing modules. Buyers who need more than 8 GB of memory should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 240-pin DDR2 DIMMs on the A780VM-M2 and what step is often missed?

Align each module's notch with the slot key, press down until both side clips click shut, and populate all four sockets to reach the 8 GB capacity.

What maintenance or replacement will the DDR2 memory need over time?

No routine service is required; if a 2 GB module fails, replace it with another PC2-6400 or PC2-6300 DDR2 DIMM of matching speed.
