The Simplex 8148M-RH-26D is a heavy-duty mechanical pushbutton mortise lever lock finished in satin chrome. It provides keyless exterior access via a single programmable code while allowing free egress from the interior. The vandal-resistant keypad features solid metal pushbuttons and operates without batteries. It carries a three-hour UL/ULC fire rating for "A" labeled doors.

Fits Standard Mortise Prep

This unit fits wood or metal doors 44 to 57 mm thick with a standard 86 mortise preparation and a 70 mm backset. It includes a 19 mm two-piece anti-friction latch and a 4-7/8" x 1-1/4" x 1/4" deadbolt strike plate. The lock accepts LFIC Medeco, Assa Abloy, or Yale 5 or 6 pin cores, which are sold separately. A unified trim plate and fixed ADA compliant lever complete the hardware.

Upgrades From Keyed-Only Mortise Hardware

This lock replaces traditional keyed mortise sets where code-based access removes the need for physical key management.
