Large-capacity food storage

The Sistema 1870 container holds seven litres and uses locking clips with a flexible seal to keep contents fresh. It is made from BPA-free virgin plastic and is safe for dishwasher, freezer and microwave use without the lid. The rectangular shape and modular design allow stable stacking in cupboards or the fridge.

Suits bulk storage, not portion control

Home cooks who buy ingredients in large volumes or prepare batch meals will appreciate the single 7 L compartment. People who prefer divided sections for meal-prep portions or need a set of smaller containers for daily lunches should look at a different configuration.

7 L volume decides fit

The seven-litre capacity determines whether a whole chicken, a large salad or a bulk dry-goods bag will fit in one piece. If the storage task needs less space, a smaller container avoids wasted air; if it needs more, this unit cannot expand.

Questions about this item

How much food can the 7 L container hold before the lid seal becomes the limiting factor?

The 7 L capacity is the practical limit; the flexible seal and four locking clips are designed to maintain an airtight closure up to that full volume.

Does the container warp or retain heat after repeated dishwasher and microwave cycles?

Made from 100 % virgin BPA-free plastic, it is rated for top-rack dishwasher use and microwave reheating without the lid, with no warping reported under normal daily use.

Will the 13.98 in x 9.25 in footprint fit on my existing pantry shelves?

The rectangular base measures 13.98 in by 9.25 in, so it will sit on any shelf at least that deep and wide; the modular corners also allow stable stacking with other Klip It sizes.
