The 4Rx4 organisation and LRDIMM buffer remove the ranking limits of standard RDIMMs, letting you populate more slots per channel. It runs at 1.20 V with CL19 latency and is sold new for server deployments only.

64 GB capacity with room for 128 GB modules

Each module delivers 64 GB using 16 Gb-based components, and the platform supports densities up to 128 GB per DIMM when the same technology is used. The LRDIMM design provides more memory bandwidth than standard RDIMMs while staying more energy efficient. Speed is rated at 2666 MT/s (PC4 21300); the platform can scale to 3200 MT/s with faster modules, but this kit operates at the specified 2666 rate.

No heat spreader and no desktop compatibility

The module ships without a heat spreader, relying on server chassis airflow for cooling. It cannot be mixed with ECC UDIMMs — if a system shipped with UDIMMs, all existing modules must be removed before installing these LRDIMMs. No software or additional accessories are included; the change is purely the ability to reach higher installed capacities for virtualization, HPC and in-memory database workloads.
