Compact 64 GB player with Bluetooth 4.2

The Skybess YHP-S64-W2 is a pocket-sized media player that stores music on a supplied 64 GB microSD card. It is aimed at listeners who want a dedicated device for workouts, commutes or travel without using a smartphone.

MicroSD expansion and built-in speaker

The player accepts microSD cards up to 128 GB so the library can grow beyond the included card. A 3.5 mm headphone jack and Bluetooth 4.2 give wired or wireless listening options, while the integrated speaker lets you play audio without headphones.

Replaces phone-based playback for focused listening

It upgrades from using a handset for music by removing notifications, saving phone battery and offering 8 to 10 hours of play from a two-hour charge. Buyers who need streaming apps, larger screens or internal storage beyond 128 GB should look elsewhere.

Does the 1.8 inch LCD and Bluetooth 4.2 link generate noticeable heat or fan noise during continuous play?

There is no fan; the slim 0.8 cm body stays cool and silent because the DSP decoder chip draws very little power.
