Skylety Two-Pack Diamond Hook Files

This set supplies two double-sided diamond files designed for sharpening standard fishing hooks. Each file features a fine grit on one face and a medium grit on the other, giving anglers a choice of finish. The compact tools are built for portable use on the bank or boat.

Diamond Coating and Non-Slip Handles

The industrial diamond coating provides a hard, wear-resistant surface that maintains its cutting ability over repeated use. A metal core adds rigidity while the PVC-textured handles prevent slipping during wet conditions. An attached lanyard on each handle allows quick tethering to a vest or tackle box.

Pocket-Sized for Light Tackle Bags

Measuring 10 by 1.1 by 0.2 centimetres (3.93 by 0.43 by 0.07 inches), the files add negligible bulk to a small tackle pouch. They sharpen light-wire and medium-wire hooks efficiently but lack the length and aggression needed for heavy saltwater or big-game hooks. Anglers targeting large species will need a larger sharpening tool.

Questions about this item

How long will the diamond abrasive last before the file needs replacing?

The diamond material is very hard and wearable, allowing long-term reuse without loss of sharpening performance.

What limits how many hooks I can sharpen in one session?

The compact 10 x 1.1 x 0.2 cm size means the working surface is small, so frequent repositioning is needed when sharpening many hooks.

Does the handle get hot or slippery during extended use?

The PVC-textured handle is non-slip and stays comfortable, while the metal core and diamond abrasive generate negligible heat during normal sharpening.
