Modern platform bed for compact bedrooms

The SlickBlue full-size frame combines a solid wood structure with plywood and MDF panels plus a linen-upholstered headboard. Grey and beige finishes suit contemporary or classic décor. The 100-degree reclined headboard angle supports reading or watching TV in bed. Integrated shelving and a storage footboard keep essentials within reach.

Practical limits of the storage layout

Five open shelves measure 27 by 5 inches, 26.5 by 3.5 inches and 13.5 by 3.5 inches wide by deep, with 5 inches between tiers. The headboard shelf depth is 8 inches overall. A 6-inch gap separates the headboard from the mattress platform. Mattress thickness is limited to 6 inches maximum. No box spring is required.

Straightforward assembly with attention to alignment

Ten plywood slats and four extra support legs form the foundation; hardware and instructions are included. The embedded frame design prevents mattress slip once the slats are seated correctly. Builders must ensure all support legs contact the floor evenly to avoid rocking. The upholstered headboard ships compressed and expands fully within a few hours.

Questions about this item

Which headboard shelf width suits my night-time items — 27", 26.5" or 13.5"?

The three shelves measure 27", 26.5" and 13.5" wide; pick the 27" shelf for books or a tablet, the 26.5" for a lamp and phone, and the 13.5" for smaller accessories.

What does the 100° reclining angle feel like when I sit up in bed?

The upholstered headboard tilts back to a fixed 100° angle, giving a relaxed, slightly reclined posture that supports your back while reading or watching TV.

How does the 6" gap between headboard and platform affect my mattress choice?

The 6" clearance limits mattress thickness to about 6"; thicker mattresses would sit too high against the reclining headboard and reduce the usable recline space.
