This L-shaped double twin bed fits into a room corner to provide separate sleeping spaces for two children. The white pine wood, plywood and MDF frame measures 122" x 78.5" x 72.5" overall with a house-style roof, window and crossbars. Each platform is 76" x 39.5" and sits 8.5" off the ground for easy access. Full-length guardrails on one side add safety for younger sleepers.

Twin platform capacity and guardrail clearance

Each platform supports up to 250 lbs on eight plywood slats that keep the mattress securely in place. The guardrail top sits 17.5" from the floor and 11" above the platform, with a 14.5" x 9" opening for entry. A 6" thick twin mattress matches the platform depth, while thicker mattresses reduce effective rail height and may compromise the safety barrier for smaller children.

Upgrade from separate twin beds or floor setups

This unit replaces two standalone twin beds and reclaims floor area by nesting them in an L-shaped footprint.
