Two Built-In Slide-Out Drawers

Two slide-out drawers sit beneath the platform, each offering an interior of 35 by 15 by 5 inches. They provide convenient storage for toys, books or clothing to help keep the room tidy.

Simple Assembly With Plywood Slats

The recessed platform supports a mattress up to 6 inches thick without a box spring, simplifying setup. Eight plywood slats deliver stable support, while the overall height of 59 inches may limit placement in rooms with low ceilings.

Questions about this item

Do the 35 x 15 x 5 inch drawers need any hardware checks over time?

The drawers slide on wooden runners; occasional wax or silicone spray keeps them moving smoothly and no other hardware maintenance is required.

What stops the 200 lb weight capacity from being exceeded during everyday use?

The solid wood frame and eight plywood slats are rated for 200 lbs total; staying within that limit prevents structural fatigue.

Does the 59 inch tall house frame trap heat around the mattress during all-day use?

Open roof slats and the 39.5 inch platform-to-roof gap allow air to circulate, so heat does not build up around the sleeper.
