SMA Bluetooth 5.3 USB Adapter — 328 ft range

This SMA adapter adds Bluetooth 5.3 + EDR to a desktop or laptop through a standard USB port. It supports dual-mode operation for both Classic and Low Energy devices. The adjustable 360° antenna is designed to maximise signal stability across long distances.

Windows 8.1, 10 and 11 users needing plug-and-play

Driver-free installation works on Windows 8.1, 10 and 11; Windows 7 requires a separate driver. The adapter does not function with macOS, Linux, car stereos, smart TVs or game consoles such as Xbox or PlayStation. Buyers who need native support on those platforms should choose a different solution.

Class 1 radio with up to 328 ft open-space reach

The Class 1 transmitter delivers up to 3 Mbps throughput and a quoted one-way range of 328 ft (100 m) in open space. The rotating long antenna helps maintain that link budget. Actual distance will vary with obstacles and interference.

Questions about this item

How do I choose the right version of this SMA 53#Q2119_B adapter for my Windows PC?

This single model supports Windows 8.1, 10 and 11 without drivers; Windows 7 requires the included driver. It does not work with Mac OS, Linux, car stereos, Xbox or TVs.

What does the 328FT range figure mean once the dongle is plugged into a desktop?

The 328FT (100M) distance is the one-way transmission reach in open space using the Class 1 radio and rotatable antenna; walls and interference will reduce the practical range.

Which Bluetooth standard does the USB interface use and what speed does it cap at?

The adapter uses Bluetooth 5.3 with EDR over USB, providing a maximum data transfer rate of up to 3 Mbps and backward compatibility with versions down to 2.0.
