SmallRig 4359 NATO Side Handle

The SmallRig 4359 is a universal rotatable side handle that mounts to any camera cage equipped with a standard NATO rail. It provides a secure grip to reduce shake during dynamic handheld filming. The handle rotates 360 degrees in both directions with a simple press, allowing operators to adjust the angle instantly. Its construction uses aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, silicone and stainless steel.

Videographers needing flexible handheld control

This handle suits solo shooters and gimbal operators who want bi-directional sliding and rapid angle changes without tools. It supports loads up to 15 kg (33.1 lbs), making it viable for heavier cinema rigs. Builders whose cages lack a NATO rail cannot attach it directly. Users requiring wireless remote start/stop or integrated electronic controls will not find those functions here.

Built-in mounts expand rigging options

The handle body includes 1/4"-20 threaded holes, an ARRI 3/8"-16 locating hole, a cold shoe and a strap hole. These let you attach monitors, microphones, wireless receivers or a wrist strap directly to the grip. The eco-friendly textured silicone surface improves comfort during long takes. No additional accessories are bundled in the package.

Questions about this item

What type of rail must my camera cage have to mount this SmallRig 4359 side handle?

The handle clamps onto any standard NATO rail, so your cage needs a NATO-compatible rail for direct attachment.

Can I still use my existing 1/4"-20 accessories when this handle is installed on the cage?

Yes, the handle includes built-in 1/4"-20 threaded holes alongside an ARRI 3/8"-16 locating hole, a cold shoe and a strap hole for expansion.

How do I verify the 360-degree rotation is functioning correctly after attaching the handle?

Press the release button and rotate the grip through a full 360-degree turn in both directions; it should lock securely at each desired angle.
