Precise Exposure Control

The SmallRig 77mm MRC VND Filter 3590 provides 1 to 9 stops of adjustable light reduction. Photographers and videographers can maintain desired exposure across changing conditions without swapping filters. It suits creators who need flexible density control for motion blur or wide apertures in bright environments.

77mm Thread Compatibility

This filter fits lenses with a 77mm front thread, integrating directly into existing lens systems. The single specification that decides fit is the thread diameter; lenses with other thread sizes will require a step-up or step-down ring. Buyers whose lenses use a different thread size cannot mount this filter natively.

Optical Clarity and Durability

Premium B270 optical glass with 18-layer multi-resistant coating on both sides maximises transmission while minimising reflections and glare. The coating resists scratches, water and mildew, preserving image quality during regular outdoor use. No power draw, noise or thermal output is generated by this passive optical accessory.

Questions about this item

What does the 1-to-9-stop range let me do on my lens?

It gives you continuous control over exposure by cutting light from roughly half up to five-hundred-twelfths, so you can keep a wide aperture or slow shutter in bright conditions without changing settings.

What does the 77 mm thread mean for my existing lenses?

The filter screws directly onto any lens with a 77 mm front thread; step-up or step-down rings are required for other diameters.

How thick is the filter frame and will it vignette on wide angles?

The frame adds only a few millimetres and the slim profile is designed to avoid vignetting on most wide-angle lenses at 77 mm.
