  • Compact dummy battery with included AC adapter for studio or location use

Continuous Power for Sony Cameras

The SmallRig NP-FZ100 Dummy Battery with Power Adapter replaces the standard battery pack and connects to an AC outlet, delivering uninterrupted power for long studio or location sessions with compatible Sony cameras.

Suits Extended Shoots, Not Mobile Work

Videographers and photographers running interviews, live streams or time-lapses benefit from the constant supply and the built-in over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection. Creators who need to move freely away from mains power should keep using regular NP-FZ100 cells instead.

NP-FZ100 Form Factor with US Mains Plug

The dummy cell matches the exact dimensions of the original NP-FZ100 battery so it seats without jamming, while the included adapter accepts 100 V AC input with an American-standard plug for direct wall connection.

Questions about this item

Will this dummy battery fit alongside my existing NP-FZ100 batteries in the Sony a7 IV grip?

The dummy battery mimics the exact dimensions of the original NP-FZ100, so it slides into the same compartment on the a7 IV and a7R IV without jamming or blocking the latch.

How can I confirm the 4268B adapter is delivering stable power to my FX3 during a long take?

The upgraded chip provides full decoding with no pop-up warnings on the FX3 or FX30 screen; if the camera shows the AC icon and runs without battery-percent drop, the adapter is working correctly.

Does the package include the AC cable for US outlets, or do I need to buy a separate cord?

The box contains the dummy battery, the power adapter with an integrated American-standard AC cable, and no extra cord is required for wall power.
