Smith Corona SMC17657 Fabric Nylon Typewriter Ribbon Black

Product identity

Smith Corona SMC17657 is a black fabric nylon ribbon designed for Coronamatic C Series typewriters. It supplies the ink medium for mechanical impact printing. The cartridge weighs 0.21 units and carries model number 17657.

Suitability

This ribbon suits owners of Coronamatic C Series machines who need a direct replacement for worn or depleted original ribbons. Buyers with other typewriter models or modern printers should look elsewhere because the ribbon is engineered specifically for that series.

Deciding specification

The single specification that decides fit is compatibility with Coronamatic C Series typewriters. No other interface or standard is relevant. If your machine belongs to that series the ribbon will install and function; otherwise it will not fit.
