Smart lock with fingerprint

The SMONET Y1-FP-Bronze is a Bluetooth-enabled deadbolt that unlocks in 0.3 seconds using a 3D fingerprint sensor. It suits homeowners who want keyless entry managed through a smartphone app and voice assistants. Seven unlock methods include keypad, IC fob, mechanical key and Apple Watch control.

Bluetooth range and gateway limits

The lock communicates directly via Bluetooth, so remote operation requires the optional Wi-Fi gateway. Without that gateway, lock and unlock commands only work within local radio range. The IP63 rating protects against dust and spraying water but not immersion. Four AA batteries power the mechanism and are not included.

Fingerprint speed decides fit

The 0.3-second biometric recognition is the single specification that determines whether this lock matches the buyer's expectation for instant entry. If that response time meets the household's daily traffic, the other features follow; if faster or slower authentication is needed, a different mechanism is required.

Questions about this item

Which unlock method should I rely on for daily use?

The fingerprint sensor unlocks in 0.3 seconds and takes just 1 second total, making it the fastest of the seven options.

What does the IP63 rating protect against in real life?

IP63 means the lock is dust-tight and resists spraying water, so rain or splashes on the exterior will not damage the electronics.

How far does the Bluetooth connection reach for phone control?

Bluetooth works within typical short-range distance; adding the Wi-Fi gateway extends control to anywhere with internet access.
