SKU CH-DA2V-YVMXD

A 3-metre USB-C cable delivering 40 Gbps data, 240 W charging and 8K60 or 4K120 video over Thunderbolt 4

  • 40 Gbps data speed moves huge files instantly
  • 240 W PD 3.1 charging powers demanding laptops fast
  • 8K at 60 Hz HDR delivers crisp video detail
  • 4K at 120 Hz refresh ensures smooth motion
  • 3 metre length gives flexible desktop reach

One cable for data, power and video

This three-metre USB-C to USB-C cable combines 40Gbps data transfer, up to 240W PD3.1 charging and 8K60 HDR or 4K120 video output in a single cord. It is built for professionals who connect high-performance laptops, external NVMe SSDs and high-resolution monitors without swapping cables. The extended length suits desktop, docking station and multi-device layouts.

Check host port capabilities first

Your computer or dock must provide a USB4 or Thunderbolt 4 port to reach the rated 40Gbps speed, 240W power delivery and 8K60 or 4K120 video modes. Ports limited to USB 3.2 or lower will reduce bandwidth and may not support the highest power or video resolutions. Verify that both the source and the display or storage device accept the same standards before ordering.

Thermals and power in daily use

The cable handles up to 240W of power delivery, so it will warm slightly when a high-performance laptop charges at full rate, but remains within normal operating limits for a passive cord. No active cooling or fan is present, so operation is silent. Under typical mixed workloads of data, video and charging the temperature rise is modest and does not affect signal stability.

Questions about this item

Does the 3-metre cable ship with any adapters or do I need to buy them separately?

The cable is a single USB-C to USB-C cord with no extra adapters included; if your devices need a different connector you must purchase a separate adapter.

Should I choose this 3-metre length or a shorter version for my desktop setup?

Pick the 3-metre length when the host and monitor or dock are far apart; a shorter cable reduces clutter only if the devices sit close together.

What does the 40Gbps rating mean when I connect an NVMe SSD to my laptop?

It allows up to 40Gbps theoretical bandwidth, so large video files and backups move to the NVMe drive at the fastest speed the USB4 and Thunderbolt 4 standards permit.
