Complete 5-Piece DIY Tool Kit

This five-piece kit equips mechanical keyboard enthusiasts with a dedicated switch opener, keycap puller and auxiliary tools for Cherry MX-compatible switches. It covers the full workflow from keycap removal through switch opening, cleaning and lubrication. The compact set is built for repeated disassembly and easy storage during custom keyboard projects.

Cherry MX Compatibility Only

The switch opener and puller are engineered specifically for standard Cherry MX-style switch housings and keycap stems. Proprietary or non-MX switch structures will not fit the opener, and the puller may not engage correctly. Buyers must verify their switch type before use to avoid damage or incomplete disassembly.

Switch Opener Determines Fit

The included MX switch opener is the single component that dictates whether this kit works for a given keyboard. If the board uses standard Cherry MX clones the opener separates the housing tabs cleanly; otherwise the tool cannot open the switches at all. No other tool in the set compensates for an incompatible switch design.
