65 Feet Active USB 3.0 Extension

This 65 feet active USB 3.0 extension cable connects computers or Windows tablets to peripherals across long distances. It supports devices such as webcams, cameras, keyboards, hard drives, printers, USB hubs, VR headsets and game consoles. The male-to-female design extends existing USB connections without moving the host device. It is suited for setups where standard cable lengths fall short.

Sustained transfer with built-in boosters

Three integrated extension chipsets amplify the signal to prevent attenuation over the full 65 feet length. The multi-layer shielding structure minimises electromagnetic interference during continuous operation. A supplied 5V/2A power adapter delivers stable current and back-pressure protection when connected devices draw more than 900mA. This powered design maintains reliable throughput for demanding peripherals like VR headsets and external hard drives.

5 Gbit/s USB 3.0 data rate

The cable operates at up to 5 Gbit/s, approximately ten times the 480 Mbit/s rate of USB 2.0. This bandwidth determines whether large file backups, high-definition video streams or fast storage devices perform as expected. Backward compatibility allows use with slower USB standards, but the 5 Gbit/s ceiling is the single specification that decides if this cable meets the application's speed requirement.

Questions about this item

Does the 65 foot active cable generate noticeable heat or draw extra power when left running all day?

The cable uses built-in signal amplification chips that require the included 5V/2A power adapter when connected devices draw more than 900mA, keeping operation stable without excess heat.

What must I already own for this 65 foot USB 3.0 extension to work with my peripherals?

You need a host with a USB 3.0 or USB 2.0 Type-A port and a standard Type-A peripheral; the male-to-female cable and supplied 5V/2A adapter complete the link.

Will this 65 foot active extension work reliably with my older USB 2.0 printer and hard drive?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible with USB 2.0 devices at 480Mbit/s and the signal booster prevents attenuation over the full 65 foot length.
