SMUGDESK 65FT Active Optical USB 3.0 Extension Cable

SKU CH-GVTH-9GAHV

Active optical fiber extends USB 3.0 signals 65 feet at 5Gbps without signal loss or electromagnetic interference

  • 65 ft reach extends USB 3.0 devices far beyond standard cable limits
  • Active optical fiber delivers stable 5 Gbps data transfer over the full length
  • Lightweight fiber core resists electromagnetic interference for reliable industrial and venue use
  • Plug‑and‑play operation requires no extra drivers for instant setup
  • Compatible with webcams, cameras, hubs, keyboards, drives, printers and more USB‑A peripherals

Extended reach for USB 3.0 peripherals

This 65 foot active optical cable extends USB 3.0 connections far beyond standard copper limits. It targets installers who need reliable links for webcams, cameras, hubs, keyboards, drives or printers across large rooms or industrial spaces.

Fibre core resists interference daily

The optical core eliminates electromagnetic interference that degrades copper cables over long runs. Plug and play operation requires no drivers, so the link is ready immediately after connecting the Type A male and female ends.

5Gbps bandwidth over 65 feet

Active optical technology sustains the full USB 3.0 5Gbps data rate across the entire 65 foot length. Buyers who need longer runs or multiple daisy chained extensions cannot meet that need with this single cable.

Questions about this item

What data rate does the USB 3.0 active optical cable sustain over the full 65-foot length?

The fiber-optic design maintains the full USB 3.0 5 Gbps transfer rate across the entire 65-foot span without signal attenuation.

What clearance is required for the Type-A connectors at each end of the 65-foot run?

Each end uses a standard USB Type-A male and female plug, so allow enough depth for a typical Type-A socket plus cable bend radius at both the host and device side.

Does the 65-foot active optical extension need external power or driver installation to work?

No external power supply or driver is required; the cable draws power from the USB port and operates plug-and-play once both Type-A ends are seated.
