External GPU dock for laptops
The SMUGDESK PCIE EXP GDC Beast Mini connects a desktop graphics card to a notebook through Mini PCI-E, NGFF M.2 or ExpressCard slots. It targets users who want higher graphical performance without replacing their laptop. A dedicated NGFF M.2 A-Key cable is included for direct attachment.
Compatible with three internal interfaces
The dock accepts Mini PCI-E, NGFF M.2 and ExpressCard connections, covering many laptop designs. Bandwidth is limited by the single-lane PCIe link inherent to those slots, so high-end desktop cards will not reach their full potential. It handles mid-range gaming, 3D rendering and 4K or 8K video editing, but heavy compute workloads may saturate the link.
Simple assembly with external power required
The unit uses an optimised signal structure to reduce data attenuation during external operation. No soldering or complex modification is needed, making it accessible to enthusiasts. Users must supply their own desktop power supply and graphics card, as neither is included with the dock.

Questions about this item
Will the Beast Mini dock work with my laptop's existing Mini PCI-E slot?
Yes, the dock supports Mini PCI-E, NGFF M.2 and ExpressCard interfaces, so it can connect through a Mini PCI-E slot using the appropriate adapter.
How can I verify the dock is transmitting data correctly after installation?
Check that the discrete GPU appears in Device Manager and that benchmark or game frame rates match expected desktop-card performance, indicating stable PCIe transmission.
Does the package include a power supply and graphics card, or must I buy them separately?
The box contains the docking board and an NGFF M.2 A-Key cable only; you must supply your own desktop graphics card and a suitable power supply.
