All-in-one USB-C cable for power, data and video

This ten-foot cable carries up to one hundred watts of power, twenty gigabits per second of data and 4K sixty hertz video over a single USB-C connection. It suits users who want one lead for charging a laptop, driving an external display and moving large files between compatible devices. The cable works with any host that supports USB Power Delivery and DisplayPort Alternate Mode on its USB-C port.

Ideal for single-cable docking, not for legacy ports

Professionals connecting a modern laptop to a monitor, dock or high-speed SSD will benefit from the combined bandwidth and charging headroom. Buyers whose devices only offer USB 2.0 speeds or lack DisplayPort Alternate Mode will not see the video or twenty-gigabit performance. The cable also cannot add features absent from the host, such as Thunderbolt tunnelling on a non-Thunderbolt port.

Fits a minimal desk setup by replacing three leads

One cable replaces a separate charger, video cable and data link, reducing clutter around a laptop or tablet. It requires a USB-C power adapter rated for the desired wattage and a display or dock that accepts DisplayPort Alternate Mode. No driver installation is needed; the connection negotiates power, video and data automatically when both ends support the relevant standards.

Questions about this item

What power adapter is required for the 100W charging capability?

A USB-C adapter capable of 20V/5A output is needed to deliver the full 100W power; lower-wattage adapters will charge at their rated speed.

Will this cable work with a laptop that only has USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports?

Yes, the cable is backward compatible and will function at the host port's maximum speed, which is 5Gbps for USB 3.1 Gen 1.

How can I confirm the cable is delivering 20Gbps data throughput?

Connect a Thunderbolt 3 SSD and run a benchmark; sustained read/write speeds approaching 2030MB/s indicate the 20Gbps link is active.
